About me

Hello, glad you found your way here 🙂
It allstarted when I was looking for a christening dress for my beloved newborn daughter. The premisewas simple – it was to be natural and to be used for other occasions. I didn’t want to agree to overdressed polyester “meringues”, or premium clothes for one time…. And then I decided to sew a dress according to my own idea! Full of simplicity, natural beauty and …. growing with the baby :). Grandmother Marianna’s machine, who taught me to sew back in elementary school, went into action.
I learned to distinguish linen and good quality cotton from polyester, elan and other artificialities. I realized the importance of natural fabrics in terms of comfort and, more importantly, the impact on the health of our children. I discovered that baby clothes don’t have to be disposable, but can last a long time, fitting in with the idea of minimalism and slow fashion that is so important to me.
Thanks to the great support of my Husband, after months of trial and error, the Lilen brand was created! A place where natural BEAUTY reigns supreme.
You won’t find artificial materials and exaggerated forms. We also do not create clothes for one occasion. We choose good quality fabrics from Poland and Europe, and hand-design ephemeral embroideries inspired by Polish meadows and forests. We construct the clothes so that you can enjoy them for a long time – even for several seasons. This is made possible by our proprietary sizing, which we spent many months of testing, fitting and trial stitching on. We sew, of course, in Poland, in a small local atelier teeming with life and passion, which translates into quality and durability of the fruits of our work together.
All this to give expression to what is most important – emphasizing the uniqueness of our Children and respect for the work and resources entrusted to us.
I didn’t get the dress in time for the baptism, but maybe that’s better. My grandmother pulled out of a drawer a gown she had sewn, in which she was baptized…. me, more than 30 years ago. I couldn’t think of a more unique creation.
I invite you, stay longer 🙂
